This is where we earned its reputation for quality. Aladdin started baking pocket pita bread in 1972 and has grown every year ever since! 

 

Many traditional ethnic buyers have found that our bread is just like the bread that they bought at their local bakers "back home" in the old-days. Remember the days when each loaf of bread was a baker's creation and not a number on a financial statement? This is how we treat our breads. Yes, we've grown, but we've never lost sight of what made us famous.

 

Our pocket pita is not machine die-cut, it is pressed before going into the oven. Sounds technical, but what this really means is that the edges of our bread are less likely to break when you open the pocket. Why doesn't every baker press their pocket pita? Simple… it costs more to make. But whether your customer is a restauranteur or a consumer, if you can't stuff the pocket because it breaks, then you have an unhappy customer. Besides, if you have to throw out bread because it breaks is it REALLY less expensive. No. 

 

We have two different recipes available; our traditional, and our bakery fresh formulas. Our traditional recipe is a time tested (our decade old) formula, loved by all. Best used fresh within a short period of time, or if shipped frozen, thawed and sold/consumed quickly. This recipe is the old-world quality, and renowned world-wide.

 

Customers need the freshness of the traditional recipe but don't have the same possibility to distribute or sell in such a short period of time. Putting on our thinking caps, Aladdin prides itself on offering solutions to our customers. We have come up with a fabulous product which we call BakeryFresh. This recipe stays soft and delicious nearly 3 times as long as the traditional recipe. If you are a supermarket operator, this is the bread for you!
